A must have for the perennial kitchen herb garden! Some say this is the best strain for culinary use. It's best used straight from the garden but honestly, it's also delicious dried.
A few reasons we love growing oregano:
- drought tolerant
- attracts beneficial insects
- mega medicinal properties (immunity booster, powerful anti-fungal properties)
Young plants tend to grow a little slow at first (like most perennials), but a good hot spell will encourage strong growth. These hardy plants top out at 12-18" and thrive in full sun with good drainage. Very easy to grow - and, they come back every season, bigger and stronger than the previous year! Great for containers, parking strips, anywhere there's full sun.
- Days to Maturity: 80
- Companion Plants: Calendula, Chives, Rosemary, Sage, Salvia, Thyme
- Heirloom, Open-Pollinated (OP)
- Plant Spacing: 8 - 10"
