Finding a great pickling cuke can be exhausting. But, we found this German pickler (thank you Uprising Seeds!), that's a little different than the "typical" American pickler - these have a dimpled bumpy skin at pickling stage. Yes, the name is a mouthful but the vines are heavy producers and the cukes are snappy-crisp, the flavor is fresh and never bitter. Jess first grew these in 2019 and as a lifelong pickle lover, she can attest to their deliciousness!!
Plant after last frost and trellis if able. One of the reasons we always promote vertical growing is because better air circulation = less prone to disease and pests. Oh and also, you can plant more plants beneath! Wink, wink.
