Coreopsis, Roulette
Coreopsis, Roulette
We absolutely LOVE the Roulette Coreopsis! Why, you ask?? Well besides its striking beauty, here's a few gems:
- Attracts pollinators + beneficial insects
- Deer resistant
- Drought tolerant (once established)
- Cut flower filler
- Blooms thru fall + Cold tolerant
- Dependable
- Beautiful
This carefree dazzling plant gives us boho wildflower vibes and we like to grow it in our garden beds, in the ground, in pots, parking strips, basically everywhere. The flowers attract pollinators as well as beneficials such as Ladybugs, Hoverflies, Lacewings and Parasitic Wasps. Basically, you want these in your garden. They bring all the goods!
These plants reach about 3' tall and have sprays of mahogany red semi-doubled blooms, partly rolled petals and contrasting yellow color.
This 2009 Fleuroselect Gold medal winner is beautiful as an airy cut flower filler in bouquets. Harvest stems or branches when 1/3 of flowers are open and expect a vase life of 5-7 days. Gorgeous as an airy filler or standalone bouquet!
Plants prefer well-draining soil that is evenly moist, and will become drought tolerant once established. Transplant after last frost and make sure you plant them in either full sun or part shade.
- Days to Maturity: 65 - 70
- Companion Plants: Basil, Calendula, Eggplant, Kale, Peppers, Tomatoes
- Open Pollinated (OP)
- Plant Spacing: 12 - 18"
