Zucchini, Costata Romanesco
Zucchini, Costata Romanesco
This Italian heirloom has tender, gray-green skin and prominent ribbing that gives it a distinctive appearance. Flavor is rich and nutty, far superior to hybrid varieties. If you want a consistently uniform and productive strain, you've landed at the right zucchini - this is our personal favorite and we hope it becomes yours too!
Big and sprawling plants produce prolifically with an added bonus of huge male flowers for stuffing. If you're planting multiple zucchini plants in your garden this year, we recommend allowing 12-24" between each plant (due to their large sprawling habits). Great opportunity to stick a companion plant in between, or plant a Three Sisters Garden!
- Days to Harvest: 55 days
- Companion Plants: Basil, Beans, Borage, Corn, Marigold, Nasturtiums, Thyme
- Heirloom, Open-Pollinated (OP)
- Plant Spacing: 12 - 24"
