Chamomile, Bodegold
Chamomile, Bodegold
German chamomile at its finest! Bodegold is an improved German variety of chamomile with higher essential oil content, high yields, large flowers, and more uniform habit.
This variety is delicious and has a sweet aroma that we absolutely love in a calming tea. It's also very attractive to pollinators and beneficial insects with its white flowers and fragrant yellow centers, so if you're looking for a low growing, low maintenance companion plant, this is a great one. We think chamomile should be in every garden!!
These compact, perennial plants grow up to 12-24" in height and oddly enough, they seem to prefer poor soil, they will even grow in gravel! Flowers are ready to pick and dry any time, even after the petals have fallen off. They readily self-seed but are super easy to transplant or pull.
- Days to Harvest: 70-90
- Companion Plants: Basil, Beans, Carrots, Potatoes, Thyme, Tomatoes, Zinnias
- Perennial, Open-Pollinated (OP)
- Plant Spacing: 4 - 8"
