This open-pollinated version of the Sungold is just as sweet and fruity as the "classic". This is actually an improved version because its less prone to splitting/cracking.
Clusters of bright orange cherry tomatoes form on vigorous, indeterminate plants early in the season - fruits will produce and produce and produce! Staking is a MUST. Bamboo pole, cattle panel trellis, florida weave, square tomato cages are all great options.
Tomatoes love full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. Add some worm castings or compost to the planting hole to help reduce transplant shock - pro tip: plant your tomatoes deeply, which encourages more roots to grow along the stem, creating a stronger root system and healthier plant. Mulch at the base helps retain soil moisture throughout the growing season.
- Days to Maturity: 65
- Companion Plants: Basil, Borage, Cilantro, Cosmos, Parsley, Zinnias
- Open Pollinated (OP), Indeterminate
- Plant spacing: 12 - 24"
