Salmon Rose is understated and beautiful. Honestly, she doesn't really need any other introduction, so we'll just let you ooh and ahh at her beauty like we continue to do. In addition to her beauty, this variety is powdery mildew resistant!!! Definitely a big bonus considering our climate.
Favorite plant color combos:
Salmon Rose Zinnia + Cardinal Basil
Salmon Rose Zinnia + Lavender
Salmon Rose Zinnia + Sage
Zinnias thrive in full sun and are drought tolerant once established. Poor to average soil is best as too much organic matter can make them tall and leggy. Plants may benefit from basic staking. This variety is powdery mildew resistant - YAY!
Note that our zinnias will produce bushy, prolific blooms from early summer thru first frost (or later!) because we pinch them back. Pinching back the plant encourages side shoots and more growth. Deadheading will produce continuous blooms too.
- Days to Maturity: 75
- Companion Plants: Cosmos, Peppers, Rosemary, Tomatoes, Zucchini
- Open-Pollinated (OP)
- Plant Spacing: 12 - 24"
