Rainbow Chard is the best of both worlds - it's highly ornamental but also a nutritional powerhouse!  This variety has leaves in shades of green, red, pink, yellow, orange and striped.  Imagine how beautiful a pop of rainbow chard would look next to your purple basil, sweet orange cherry toms or sweet peppers... or basically any plant, because its a friend to all.

We both grow this chard in our own gardens and it grows year round in our climate (woot!). This particular strain is resistant to leaf miners, has wide petioles (aka stalks) and an upright growth habit, reaching between 12 - 24" in height.  Bottom line, this chard is a WIN all around and we can't say enough good things about it!

Rainbow Chard is a hardy crop that tolerates light freezes and can be an early-or late-season star in your garden.  It prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.  Mulch at the base of the plant to shade out weeds and ensure good soil moisture.  Container friendly!
