One of the many things to love about the Marta Polka bell pepper is that she's really well suited for regions with cool summers. And as much as we love our hot summers, we don't always get them consistently (we're looking at you, 2024/2025). This heirloom Polish variety is super productive early and throughout the season.
Favorite plant color combos:
- Marta Polka Bell Pepper + Joy's Midnight Chard
- Marta Polka Bell Pepper + Purple Basil
- Marta Polka Bell Pepper + Raspberry Burst Tomato
Plants are compact and have a bushy habit, not generally needing any staking. The flesh is thick, mild and sweet flavored. Harvest at any stage, she ripens from green to golden yellow and has a thick-walled flesh that's sweet and everything we love in a bell pepper!!
Peppers thrive in full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. Mulching is recommended to retain soil moisture. Great for containers!
